Letter, Aug. 27, 1864.

Letter to Mr. Robinson, re: the Society's inability to hire more agents due to "supplying the sinews of such a war as this" for which he "would not have voted the appropriations" and is sure "Hovey" would not have approved. Encourages him to continue to "proclaim the gospel" and raise money at his meetings.
